Oh yeah-I forgot to post the funniest thing.......

Right before we went to bed on Seths birthday I was talking to him about the day he was born and he said......"Mom if they had to do a C-section on Star Wars would they use a knife or a light saber?"

Seth is 10......

I can't believe my little Sefee has hit the double digits. I am also baffled that I have been a mother for 10 yrs. It was the most wonderful and scary moment in my life. I had an unplanned c section and was one of these first time mom's who had the whole delivery planned out in my head. A c-sec was not in the plans and Seth has continued to surprise us at every turn.

He is a brilliant little guy and has an extraordinary memory. He has a love for learning all about the world around him. For a long time he would only check out fact books in the library ie...Volcanoes, Sharks, Tornadoes,Insects, Polar Bears, and the Guinness book of world records. He passed his love for facts on to his little brother as well. I finally talked them into checking out a fiction book here and there just so they would learn to read stories and recently they love the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.

Seths teachers always say how kind he treats his fellow classmates and that he is well liked by all. He has such a wonderful heart and plays so well with his little sister Sarah. As many of you know he also has a slight addiction to his video games. He loves his DSI and got a new Pokemon game for his birthday. I think he tries to beat the game before his friends do.

It was kind of sad to me this year because Seth has always loved to plan his birthday parties and have a theme and homemade cake. This year he just wanted to celebrate with us-no cake-wing shack for dinner-cheesecake for desert-and go see the new movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid with a couple of friends. This was the first year I did not go all out for him and it made me realize how much is is growing and changing. In fact, Ryan said as we were munching on wings " this is food I would choose for my birthday". I guess I have to accept the fact he is growing up, but he will always be my little Wunk. Happy 10th big guy!! We all love you so much!

The Zoo in the Spring..........

Is Awesome, Uncrowded, Cool, and filled with Active Animals. I don't know that we'll ever go in the summer months again. Although the orangutans were a little too active which brought up a discussion about the creation of life. It was a wonderful day and I love my family!!

Why is it that when I start to blog again and am on my computer more often....everyone else disappears?

Move over Ladies

This little guy is the newest addition to our extended family clan..... my nephew Kian. The kids and I went up to Idaho last weekend to witness his special day. What a little sweetheart. If my husband had been there I probably wouldn't have got to hold and cuddle him for fear of it making me want another-which it did for a moment. The three little girls that this fella will soon call sisters are so lucky to have such a sweet little guy to call brother. It was a wonderful day and I look forward to holding him again soon!!

Girls Weekend

Thanks to my sister Carrie and her kind in laws, we were able to spend a fun weekend in Twin Falls Idaho snowshoeing, snowboarding, tubing, eating, and just hanging out. The big yellow banana kept me warm and Addie kept us laughing. It is always fun to spend time with your sisters and my only wish is that the other two could have been there with us.

An entire resturaunt to ourselves.....

Today Kelsey Calli and I took a little lunch trip to a restaurant called Thai Village. Kelsey's b-day is tomorrow and hence the special occasion. She loves Thai food and I had never tried it. (I don't know if Calli had or not) We chose this one because it was close. When we arrived no one else was there and no one else came the entire time we were there. I didn't think this was a very good sign, but I thought it was pretty good. I cleaned my plate quickly and I don't know if it was because it was extra delicious or that I was so hungry. Anyway- it was nice to be the only people in there and I think I will try thai again someday. Kelsey says although it was good, it wasn't quite as good as other ones she has eaten at in Moab and Logan. It sure was fun to go eat with no children and just enjoy light conversation.

On Kelsey's actual birthday-tomorrow -we are going to see Sherlock Holmes. I warned my babysitter that my little one has severe Mommy attachment and will probably scream most of the time. I made a little trip to my local Target to buy some new toys and a tent so that maybe she can calm him down and take his mind off of it. I don't know if I will make it through the

whole movie, but we have got to cut the umbilical cord sometime.

Like Mother Like Daughter

So, we were in Costco tonight and as we were heading over to a display of Modestee dresses I looked up at a picture of a girl in one of the dresses they were selling--little did I know (being that Ryan and Sarah were behind me) that at that very moment Ryan had naturally looked up at the display as well only to hear little Sarah say "Dad, you think hers hot!!" When he told me this later in the store, I thought it was so hilarious, because I know she has heard me tell her daddy that on numerous occasions. You must really watch what you say-kids pick up on way more that you realize and they don't know that you are only kidding when you say these things.
